Why did you choose this industry?

I am fascinated by how advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) works and what advantages it gives to the utility companies, and what customers can do to save money.

What led you to join Bermex?

The ACRT Services family of companies, to which Bermex belongs, has a strong foundation and values its employees. Before joining Bermex, I served as a field operations supervisor for another organization on an AMI electric and gas project for almost seven years in Washington and California.

What does a normal day on the job look like for you?

Lots of phone calls from my coworkers, mostly the electric meter technicians. They reach out to me regarding questions about their work. I always take those calls, because in my mind, the reason why they are calling me is because they are not able to get in touch with the lead, the supervisor, or the project manager.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Helping my coworkers be inspired and striving to work harder for their individual growth within the company.

If you had to give advice to someone looking to enter this industry, what would you tell them?

Work hard, give pride to your work, develop a good work ethic, and never stop learning.

Are there any moments in your tenure with this organization that stand out to you?

I was amazed at how the Bermex family had a very strong relationship. We all join forces in one common ground — it’s always for the best.
