June 1, 2023 — Stow, Ohio — We’re excited to welcome Alan Ely to the ACRT Services family of companies as the first-ever safety manager dedicated solely to Bermex.
As Bermex’s safety manager, Ely will be responsible for overseeing safety across the organization and lead the charge in monitoring trends for leading indicators, creating monthly safety tailboards, sharing daily safety messages, conducting annual required safety training and meetings, and more.
Ely brings more than 15 years of safety-related experience, specializing in the oil and gas industry. Most recently, he served as a superintendent for an excavation company in West Virginia.
“I look forward to translating my experience from the oil and gas industry to the metering services industry and getting to know our Bermex team members,” shared Ely.
“We’re thrilled to bring on our first safety manager dedicated entirely to Bermex. Adding Alan to our organization will allow our safety operations to flourish throughout the company,” said Bermex President Kenny Murphy.
Ely holds several certifications, including first aid/automated external defibrillator/cardiopulmonary resuscitation; Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 510, 3015, and 30; and Virginia Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) surface mining credential. He’s also an aerial lift trainer, a Petroleum Education Council (PEC) Safety® instructor, serves as a Verifone operator qualification (OQ) evaluator, and has earned National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) OQ qualifications. In addition, Ely has experience with behavior-based safety programs and root-cause analyses.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Safety Management, both from West Virginia University.
